Since designing her first t-shirt in fourth grade, Kelly has always had a taste for graphic design. Even before completing her degree in Commercial Art at the University of Central Missouri, Kelly was working in the industry. Now, with more than six years as a business owner, Kelly channels her fierce love of typography and her experience in small business branding to effectively work alongside clients to strengthen their brand and tackle their design obstacles. From local bakeries to international photographers, thriving non-profits to growing start-ups, there is no lack of diversity to the brands being shaped at Ampersand. Some of the most rewarding clients are local non-profits such as Pro Deo Youth Center, Drumm Farm Center for Children, Japanese Sign Language Bible and Rachel House Pregnancy Resource Centers.
Kelly enjoys camping with her husband, repurposing found items and cooking up new recipes. She and her husband, Andrew, reside in Independence near The Square, where they often enjoy an evening stroll and local dining.
